Privacy Policy — DigitaBuddy Browser Extensions

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to all browser extensions developed and published by DigitaBuddy (“we,” “us,” “our”), available on digitabuddy.online and on the Chrome Web Store (and any other browser extension marketplace where our extensions are listed). This includes, without limitation, extensions such as QuickSnip, OutreachTrack, TaskFlow, FocusPulse, and any extension we publish in the future.

By installing or using any DigitaBuddy extension, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the extension.

1. Overview
Our extensions are built with a simple principle: your data belongs on your device, not on our servers. None of our extensions collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information or user data to us, to any DigitaBuddy server, or to any third party. Whatever you create, type, save, or configure inside an extension — such as notes, snippets, tasks, leads, timer settings, session history, or preferences — is stored locally on your own device using the browser’s built-in storage APIs (for example, chrome.storage.local). This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted anywhere else.

2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, and our extensions are not designed to collect:
– Personally identifiable information (name, address, email, phone number, government ID)
– Health information
– Financial or payment information
– Authentication information (passwords, credentials, PINs)
– Personal communications (emails, texts, chat messages)
– Location data
– Web browsing history
– User activity such as clicks, keystrokes, mouse movement, or network monitoring
– Website content you view, beyond what is strictly necessary for the extension’s stated single purpose, and even then only in-memory and never transmitted

3. Permissions and How They’re Used
Each of our extensions requests only the minimum browser permissions needed for its specific, stated purpose. Depending on the extension, this may include:
– storage — to save your data (such as notes, tasks, leads, or timer state) locally in your browser so it persists between sessions.
– activeTab — used only at the exact moment you trigger an in-extension action (for example, clicking an “Insert” button), to interact with the tab you are currently viewing. It is never used to monitor or read pages in the background.
– scripting — used to run a small, entirely local script that performs the specific action you triggered (such as inserting saved text into a focused field). No remote or externally hosted code is ever injected or executed.
– alarms — used to schedule local, time-based checks (for example, checking whether a timer has ended or a follow-up date has arrived).
– notifications — used to show local reminders or alerts generated entirely from data already stored on your device. Displaying a notification never involves sending your data anywhere.

We do not request broad host permissions (such as access to “all websites”) unless an extension’s core function genuinely requires it, and if it ever does, this policy and that extension’s store listing will describe exactly why.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties, because we do not collect any user data to begin with. Our extensions do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking scripts of any kind.

5. Data Security
Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your own browser’s and operating system’s security model. We encourage you to keep your browser and device up to date and to use your browser’s built-in profile/sync protections if you choose to sync extension data across your own devices via your browser account (a feature controlled entirely by your browser, not by us).

6. Children’s Privacy
Our extensions are general-purpose productivity tools, not directed at children, and are not knowingly used to collect data from children — consistent with the rest of this policy, no data is collected from any user regardless of age.

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we publish a new extension or change how an existing one works. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of a DigitaBuddy extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

8. Your Rights
Since all data created within our extensions is stored locally on your device, you are always in full control of it. You can view, edit, export, or permanently delete this data at any time directly within the extension, or by removing the extension from your browser (which removes its locally stored data as well, subject to your browser’s own behavior).
